A muggy thursday in Cardiff

morning all!

yesterday was a muy exciting day in Cardiff camp, we went to Oakwood! For all you folk over the border who have never heard of this (I hadn't until recently) go have a butchers : www.oakwoodthemepark.co.uk

We took our young people on a day out and it was thoroughly lovely! Really good to meet the kids I've been reading/hearing about over the last month. They were all so sweet! Really good kids. Although one young gentleman led me and his project worker to the bridge over Hygro (the big water flume) convincing us we wouldn't get soaked and would get good photos of our kids on the ride and then proceeded to peg it with seconds to spare.

Hilarious. *ahem*

I was a bit of a wimp and stuck to the ghost train (which was terrifying!) and the bunny ride. Don't knock it til you tried it!

Back to the desk work now, ploughing through data collected on Welsh authorities/agencies protocols (or lack) to deal with missing children.

Have set up an awesome system to collect the 'soft intelligence' on possible CSE risks. We've got some really good infomation together that will eventually be presented to the United Kingdom Human Trafficking Centre.

Time for a cuppa!
