My first day

My name is Keith I am the second new media intern. I had been busy in June travelling and moving from one student house to another, I ended up starting my internship a week later than the other interns. I also got a little bit lost on the way to Barnardo’s (it’s the turning opposite McDonalds!). Thus with being later than the other interns I was worried what reception I would get. Would everyone have formed friendships and be set in the roles and annoyed that another intern was here? The answer is no, I was greeted with lots of smiling faces and handshakes. People were eager to get me up to speed to do some proper work.

Before I began the interesting projects though, I would have to do health and safety training, and some IT systems work. I was more than happy to do this though, as despite it being a bit dull it showed that I would not be left to make tea and do photocopying; I would be on real projects.
