Ready, Set... Go!

So, today is my second day as one of two New Media interns at Barnardo’s. My name’s Haneef and I’m a Fine Art: New Media student at the University of Southampton. Currently i'm the only intern in the department, but someone named Keith will be joining me next week, which is pretty cool. We’ve been asked to keep an up to date blog on our experiences here in the New Media department, so everyone who’s interested can see what we’ve been up to...

Luckily, I haven’t had to make any tea or do any cleaning; it looks as though we’re being given a great deal of responsibility. The roles we’ve been asked to take on range from podcasting to arranging a rebranding for the Ebaby Desktop widget available on the website. Researching prospects for Barnardo’s web 2.0 and contacting websites informing them of the recent rebrand have been my primary focuses over the last couple of days, which has been pretty interesting. Anyway… back to work!
